After looking for a new challenge in their lives, brother-in-laws Mick Donovan (pictured left) and Andrew Charleson (pictured right)  put their heads together and decided to embark on a new journey.

That journey involved buying (at the time), the new Liquor Barons store in Duncraig.

Six years on, the store was named WA Liquor Retailer of Year at our annual Lion Liquor Industry Awards at the Crown Perth on October 15.

It’s been a roller coaster ride since entering the business and navigating through the challenges of coronavirus.

As you’ll hear Andrew say, “When this first thing happened (coronavirus) Mick, Susan and I looked at each other and said, well that was fun, there’s our business gone”.

The pair share their story and reveal the secret to their success and the importance of engaging and being part of the local community.

Find out what makes these two “peas in a pod” tick by tuning into our popular podcast, “Packaged” now.
