Earlier this month our beloved friend and colleague Anita Grace passed away due to illness.
Anyone who knew Anita will attest she was a strong presence in the Newman community and a passionate advocate for the Shire of East Pilbara.
A pioneer and trailblazer, Anita was not only a valued board member of the LSA but she also helped set up the women’s refuge centre in Newman and was a recipient of our Quiet Achiever Award in 2017.
As a tribute to Anita’s legacy the LSA will rename its Quiet Achiever Award in honour of Anita Grace, which will come into effect immediately at this year’s awards night in October.
Our heartfelt condolences to her family.
May she RIP and her memory be eternal.
