It’s nearly a 100 years since Nikola Yukich planted the family’s first vines in the Swan Valley after emigrating from Croatia in 1924.
Since then, the family business, better know as the Y-Group has incorporated a wide and diverse portfolio encompassing wine, cheese, coffee, bottling and vineyards.
Today the Yukich family is celebrating the opening of their new restaurant, “Woodcutters” at their Nikola Estate Winery in the Swan Valley.
We chat to Graeme Yukich (pictured above left) on his grandfather’s story and purpose and how his hard work has shaped the lives of four generations in the heart of the Valley!
