Liquor Stores Association welcomes new Cook Cabinet

Paula Papalia will continue to be the RGL Minister as part of the new look Cook canbinet

The Liquor Stores Association of WA has congratulated Premier Roger Cook on WA Labor’s historic third term in government and welcomed the cabinet reshuffle which includes three new members.

LSA WA CEO Peter Peck said the ministerial changes would enable the positive engagement and dialogue between the WA Cook government and the Association to continue.

“We welcome the renewed tenure of Minister Paul Papalia to the Racing and Gaming portfolio and are keen to further enhance the strong working relationship with him and his department on liquor reform” he said

“Minister Papalia has always been cognisant of the complexities and challenges associated with the take-away liquor industry across multiple jurisdictions.”

“Consistency is key particularly around the liquor portfolio and it is encouraging Premier Cook has recognised the strong collaborative effort between our industry and Minister Papalia” Mr Peck said.

Mr Peck said his goal was to ensure a productive and positive environment over the next four years for the benefit of the industry and all relevant stakeholders.
